OK. I have setup FMS16 and I can remote access it without any issue.

However, when come back home (hosting server at home), I will not be able to access FMS if my computer is connected to the internet via another router.

I have two routers at home, below is the diagram how my home's network is setup:

Modern (statistic IP) ----- router 1 ----- hub-------- cables spread to each rooms within wall ----- router 2 (port forwarding complete) ---- FMS

So, if I connect wifi via router 2, I will be able to connect to FMS, but if I connect wifi via router 1, I won't be able to connect to FMS.

Is there a way to fix it?

Update:

Alternative solution:

I, myself, has a fix which is to move the entire server machine to my office which it has only one router.

If I do that, what things do I need to consider? So far I can think of are:

  • Change the IP address of fms.poweracme.net from GoDaddy's DNS manager
  • Port forwarding the office router

What else do I need to keep it mind? Any advice are welcome. Thank you!!!
