WebViewer as drop target - Get file path

I am trying to set up a webviewer as a tool to retrieve the path of a file that gets dropped there. This works like a charm as long as the webviewer is set to display a URL, but not if it displays a fixed text. In detail:

Scenario 1: Have a webviewer display "http://www.wikipedia.com". Drag a local file on the webviewwer, then "GetLayoutObjectAttribute ( webviewer; "source" )" will show the path to the file like "file:///D:/documents/book/graphics/Claris%20News.gif".

Scenario 2: Have a webviewer display

"data:text/html,<!DOCTYPE html>

<html>

<head>

   <meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text/html; charset=UTF-8\" />

   <title>N. Busch GmbH DropTarget</title>

</head>

<body>

   Ziehen Sie Ihr Dokument hierher

</body>

</html>"

Now if you drag the file, "GetLayoutObjectAttribute ( webviewer; "source" )" will show only the above code but not the filename anymore.

Is there a way to get this running without the need to display content from a URL?
