I have one file with lot of data/pages. I create new file (same template) without any data.
How I can copy like data/page 1,10, 136,... from first file in second file?
I suggest being careful with the words you use in such technical discussions. "pages" don't really exist at the data level. Presumably you mean "records", but I am confirming that with you to avoid possible confusion just in case you don't mean records when you use the term "pages".
Import Records can import a found set of records from another file (or another table in the same file) into a specified target table in your current file. It's important to do the following first:
Open the source file and do a find to find all records and only the records that you want to import, then leave this file open while switching to the target file and importing records. If you do this manually, you must first navigate to a layout based on the target table before you import as this is what selects the target table for your import in Manual Import operations.
Thank you for your post!
You could "mark" or find some way to do a foundset that includes only the records you need in the "New" file. The New File would just do an import on the existing file and see records in the foundset. You might also see Methods of importing data into an existing file
I'm also going to move this thread from the FileMaker Community Feedback Space (which is specifically for input on the Community itself) to the Discussions Space where you might receive more views and potentially more feedback on this topic!
