I want to create a script for a button which will allow me to jump to a layout and go to certain tab view (say 2nd tab, if I have total 4 tabs in a Tab Control).
Is it possible to do so? Please help~~~
Give the tab an object name and use the Go to Object script step.
Using Freeze Window at the start of the script is also a good idea when doing this.
I got the first part, but why do I need to freeze the window? What's the benefit of it? Do I need to unfreeze the window at end of the script?
Try your script both with and without the Freeze Window step and you will see for yourself what it achieves. That's one of the best ways to learn.
keywords is correct, seeing is knowing.
Go to Object will first go to the first panel and then go to the specified panel.
On a slow machine/slow connection you will land on the layout with the first panel and then see it switch to the specified panel.
Freeze Window processes the script without any intermediate screen rendering. This allows the script to run faster and not show the jump between objects.
Read the documentation about this script step as there are other steps that will cancel it and force a screen refresh mid script. In that case you need to use Freeze Window again to get the functionality back.
