I have long had my own uniquevalues() custom function, which in 16 FileMaker has usurped with its own. I would like to think that's a good thing, on the assumption that a built-in function will be faster/more effecient than a custom one. However...
Using the built-in UniqueValues(tablename::fieldname) works great in Data Viewer, but when I create a field defined that way, it returns a ? instead of the result shown in Data Viewer.
Is there some special trick to making the built-in UniqueValues function work outside of data viewer?
I'm using FMP Advanced 16.3 for Mac
