I would like to have a button inside of a portal row that is only visible when the portal row is selected. How would I do that?
Make an unstored calculation field as
Get(RecordNumber) <> Get(ActivePortalRowNumber)
Then use the field in "Hide Object When" calculation as
portal table occurrence name::the field
You can use the Hover effect from the button to change color of a button that you put on the portal
I believe Get(record number) will give you the record number of the active record your on, not the record number of the active portal row. You could create an unstored calc with Get(Recordnumber) in the related table. Then use Recordnumber calc <> Get(ActivePortalRowNumber) in the Hide Object When.
Aha, of course I meant that, creating field into portal table so that the calculation context go into the portal. It is described in "HOW" calculation.
ActivePortalRowNumber is not context dependant, so your calculation may be better, can be used for more other purpose.
