I have activated a supported wildcard ssl on some servers in the same domain. Still filemaker 16 pro shows orange lock, is this a bug?
Who issued the certificate? Did you include the intermediate certificate?
Do you get a green lock with Web Direct?
Are you connection with the FQDN?
Comodo. We dont get any intermediate certificate from them, so no it is not imported,
I cant check if there is a green lock with webdirect, the system is secured and should not use webdirect, so cant test that.
What do you mean with FQDN?
What information do you get when you click on the orange lock?
Which cert did you get? Only one of the Comodo certs is compatible with FMS.
Also, in the FMS Admin Console, is the server named the same as the fqdn you are using?
What info did you provide Comodo when you generated the CSR? Comodo, the last time I used it, required additional information that I haven't seen with other certs.
When clicking on the orange lock and Certificate Path, it says that the "This Certificate is OK" in the Certificate Status field. Under details it looks like a SHA certificate. The customer bought this (CA demands this for verify the customer).
Yes the server has the same has the same domain as the certificate.
For Comodo, it matters which cert they purchased. I had this same issue, and when we started over and made sure the client purchased the correct cert, it fixed the orange lock problem.
Also, Comodo requires all data to be provided. It is not documented very well either.
And they should have provided you with an intermediate cert file.
