Using v12 filemaker pro. I have added a field using look up option to an existing table. How do I get existing data to be added to that field in all records?
The relookup menu option and script step might be used.
Phil has a good suggestion. Click in the field that is the relationship key field and choose the Relookup From the menu.
Another method is to use the Replace. The Relookup should do the trick just fine. Be sure you have all records showing in Form or List View as these methods work on the found set of records.

Replace Field Contents can be useful if you set up an auto-enter calculation instead of a looked up value field option.
