ifelse condition how can i used?
or case statement.
Watch this training video on how to setup an auto-enter calculation.
Set your two fields with calculations that have a dependency on the first field in order to change.
Such as, auto-enter calculation for FIELD B and FIELD C:
Case( FIELD A = "yes" ; "Field A has a value of yes" ; Not IsEmpty (FIELD A) ; "Field A is filled in" ; "Field A is blank")
FIELD A = "yes" ; "Field A has a value of yes" ;
Not IsEmpty (FIELD A) ; "Field A is filled in" ;
"Field A is blank"
The above would auto-fill a value, depending on FIELD A, into FIELD B or FIELD C.
If you uncheck the checkbox that states "Replace field value if existing", it will overwrite and update anytime that FIELD A changes.
Can't tell from your description exactly what you are trying to do.
An auto-enter calculation?
A calculation field? Stored or Unstored?
Mike's solution will work IF:
it's an auto-entered calculation
The fields referenced in the calculation are not global and are from the same record as the fields with the auto-enter expression.
Sometimes a script is needed for this, but we'd need to know a lot more to be sure.
dear i want when i change radio button option then it must automatically change the other two states of field.
for example if a person leaves room then his status must be deactive and room's status also must be set to available.
i am in this condition but i don't know what to do?
What you describe is more like a button for "checkout" of a hotel room, not a field where you are entering in a value.
In that case I would:
1) Make a script called "checkout"
2) Put all of my checkout actions into that script.
3) Tie the script to the action of a button that is titled "checkout"
A sample script may look something like:
Set Variable [ $room ; Reservation::OccupiedRoomNumber ] Enter Find Mode [ no pause ]Go To Layout [ Rooms ]Set Field [ Rooms::RoomNumber ; $room ]Perform FindSet Field [ Rooms::CurrentStatus ; "Vacant" ]Go To Layout [ Original Layout ]Show Custom Dialog [ "Checkout Complete" ]
Set Variable [ $room ; Reservation::OccupiedRoomNumber ]
Enter Find Mode [ no pause ]
Go To Layout [ Rooms ]
Set Field [ Rooms::RoomNumber ; $room ]
Set Field [ Rooms::CurrentStatus ; "Vacant" ]
Go To Layout [ Original Layout ]
Show Custom Dialog [ "Checkout Complete" ]
Of course you would need to customize that to perform your specific checkout actions, but the process would generally be similar.
Some reservation systems can be much more complex, so I'm just suggesting a basic script here.
is same would be done with status?
and i am sorry for using fields. these are radio buttons.
