FileMaker Developers and FileMaker Server Administrators will want to take note of the discovery of serious flaws with Intel chips and possibly those from other manufacturers as well.
"The vulnerabilities could allow a hacker to steal information stored in the memory of a wide range of computer chips running on personal devices — not just computers and phones, but also the servers in data centers, including those used to run cloud computing services."
Various Operating System developers are expected to provide some fixes. Unfortunately, according to some industry experts, the fixes may have a material impact on performance of the device where the OS runs.
This bears close watching.
