I’m pretty new to FMP well used it a bit back in the old days (15+ years ago), so it’s changed a lot!
I want to do something I think should be very simple; I’ve created a Customer Table, a Job Table and an Invoice Table and I have set up all the fields I need in my Customer Table with a Primary Key Customer ID. I am working through tutorials and now info on the community site but before I get too far into it I am looking to get a sense/check of where I want to go with this.
I want to be able to enter the Customer ID into my Job Table (primary Key – Job #) and have it populate any fields in the Job Table that match the Customer Table i.e. Company Name, Billing Address, Phone #, Shipping Address, Etc. then do the same in my Invoice Table (primary Key – Inv #) i.e. enter the Job # and it populates the matching data…
I am not sure what this is called so am having difficulty finding a lesson or info on it – anyone please point me in the right direction?
