Is there a way to clear all the guide lines?
Just drag them off one at a time. The guides for iOS can be toggled off with the button in the toolbar.
Choose View menu > Guides > Show Guides.
This might be handy :
FileMaker Pro 16 Help
YOu can also right-click on each one and remove it.
There's a command in the VIew / Show Guides menu to hide them all
Well I guess the final answer is NO. I am aware of the view-hide and the right click close. I had a freelancer help replicate a new layout style through my system. He placed about dozens of guides on all the pages and left them there.
Now when I want to use a guide I have to clear all of his which is a pain.
Ah. Sorry for misreading your first question.
The answer seems to be no, as you indicate. Do you think it is worth putting a product idea in?
Sure. But I would rather them focus on fixing the bug with PADDING and DUPLICATING SCRIPTS which I reported a long time ago and they said they were aware and working on it.
the "on all the pages" is what intrigued me.
If you right-click a guide (or at least for me), you get this contextual menu:
The "Remove Guide", of course removes that guide. The "Share Guide with All Layouts" (when checked) will change the color of the guide line and it will appear on ALL layouts! Now to remove that, I had to uncheck the "Share..." and then select "Remove...". This removed the "shared" guide from ALL layouts.
IDK if that helps, but see if these are shared & if so, you can remove them from ALL layouts. If OTOH, guides were placed on all the layouts in different places, see if you can share the pain with the freelancer.
EDIT: YMMV as you may be able to remove all the shared lines, by just selecting the Remove... Mostly check to see if they are a different color and if shared, can be removed at once from ALL layouts.
by the by… xScope has excellent guides, and the Dimensions tool is worth the price of admission.
