I have just purchased a Team Subscription, but have a couple machines I can't update to High Sierra, can I run them with FMP15 against a FMP16 Server? And if so, where can I find a download link for 15?
When it comes to User connections, they can still Connect to each other. So a 15 User Connection should have no issues with Connecting to Server 16. wimdecorte is Correct though. FileMaker Pro 16 will still install and can be used on Mac 10.12.x and 10.11.x. Here is the list of tested Operating Systems for FileMaker Pro. I will also try my best to answer any other questions you may have on this.
Traditionally, you would need to contact FMI and explain why you need this and request a downgrade license key. There is a very small nominal charge for the downgrade if the request is approved.
I have never done this for FLT. I would assume since the licensing is controlled by server connections they might just provide you a link to the User connection client for FM15.
If you are using FM Cloud, the client version will need to match the server version.
In all cases, call FMI sales for helpnin this.
I can't update to High Sierra
FM16 runs fine on regular Sierra, what prompted the thinking that you'd need 15?
FM 15 would be needed if OP has to run 10.10.x.
Thanks. I didn't think I could run FMP16 on 10.11, now I know I can, it fixes all my problems. It is only server that won't run on 10.11.
