ESET security causes SMTP Email to fail

Because of changes in our desktop security, SMTP email isn't working when a user hits a send mail script step. Now getting a 1506 error because of security changes.

I put the send mail step into its own script to perform script on server which works, the part I'm having an issue with is getting the body contents to show. I thought I could do a global variable, but then realized the server won't pick that up. Is there a way to pass information from a user session to a PSOS function?
