Putting an underscore at the beginning of text will sort it to the top in drop down list, but not in a layout list.
Is there something I can do about that?
And you have been given the answer twice. You can set the field as Unicode (define fields), and/or you can check the fields language for sort in the Sort Records Dialog. This should work.
What do you mean by Layout List?
I think you want to sort records, then you can use "sort by value list".
Or "override fields' language for sort" to unicode does it likely but a bit different way.
If you want to sort layout names, there may be no way, change order one by one by hand.
I guess I did not explain properly. Here is a picture.
the _House job is first on the drop down list but in on the list layout, sort by title name, it is not.
I wrote "a bit different way", it effects to your data that using unicode "3%,S2" is sorted before "_House_2018".
So you'd need sort by value list.
Thank you. I was responding to Big Tom question before I noticed the other answer.
