Ok call me stupid or ignorant whatever you want but it is time I ask this question for my own edification.

I am asking this because I cannot find a straight answer in my beloved Filemaker help files or at least one that makes since to me.

I have been using Filemaker Go to bind Solutions for iPads. But today I simply installed a Solution in the fmp12 format (not fmpur) directly on an iPad and it works.

How can that be? I was under the impression that you had to use Go on the iPad to install a Solution. What I mean is Go is installed but I loaded a true Filemaker Solution and did not bind it at all.

Why do I ask this?  Because I need to export in fmp12 format between the iPad and the desktop version that has been .app  and they need to import and export on a daily basis.

Does this mean that I can always a native fmp12 file and install as many as I wish on iPads and import and export to either a fmp12 Solution or a .app solution?

Many Thanks for any clarity on the matter.
