Placing the legenda under the collum's
Hello,

The answer depends on which of the three "view" choices you intend to view your layout (screen) in, Form, List or Table mode. The term "columns" applies to records in List or Table mode, or portals when in Form mode. Which View mode are you asking about?
In Table view mode, there is no way to my knowledge to do this. Screenshots as suggested would certainly be useful.
I'm going to take a guess that the problem is padding. I've run into this a number of times with the themes. As helpful they are, the default padding insets the records slightly indented from the column heading. Nice in some instances, no so in others. It just depends on the requirements. I've posted a few screen shots to illustrate.
The first shows the padding setting and the inset value in the "From City" field. The second shows how that record is presented. The third shows the layout with the padding set to 0 from the left. And the fourth shows the final result.
Again, just a guess on my part.
Chart Legends are going to appear as they are, because the type of chart with the same data will not always have the “columns”. Also the size of the chart dimensions will factor in how the legend is shown.
Thank you for the screen shots! These helped show exactly what you were asking.

Many would like to see greater control of Charting in FileMaker Pro and some have used Web Viewer and HTML/CSS/JavaScript to make the charts work in different ways. There are also plug-ins that are for charting only.
You may mark an answer as correct, or the entire thread as "Assumed Answered", so other know.

Welcome, Hans_V! can you post a screenshot (Layout Mode) of what you have. Jpgs and pngs can be posted inline. To attach PDF, Excel, or other document, click the "Use advanced editor" link in the upper right of the reply/comment box. Then you will see "Attach" in the lower right of the box.
The name of the field as defined, can be placed anywhere on the layout by clicking this "label" text and moving with mouse and/or arrow keys. You may even change the text label to something else.
