Short scripts for ease and consistency

There's a number of instances in a solution where it's nice to let the user know they've just kicked off a process that's going to take a moment or two to run, or that their found set returned no results. I can't recall seeing this before, but it's been a long, strange trip.

So, I've started a batch of scripts that are called from others just to keep the parent script a bit cleaner and keep the solution consistent as far as notifications delivered to users. Process starting, process complete, no records found, reformat phone number (active field), open url (parameter), delete portal row (limited access by privilege set), open folder (parameter), export attachment.

Just wondering if anyone else does this and if so, are there other suggestions?
