I have been told by an attorney that we should copyright our app by registering it with the Library of Congress (LOC). Has anybody out there ever done this, that could briefly outline what's involved? The attorney thinks of it as a printed work, such as a printout of software code, but obviously that's not what we have. He says that while copyright exists from the moment something is "created", if you have to sue somebody on a copyright issue you must have registered your copyright with the LOC first.
I have created scripts declaring our copyrights that show up at the top of Script Editor as I have seen some do, and wonder also about this.
