Date grid or list/calculation

This is an interesting one... And any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I've created a fairly robust table and layout for a conference registration I'm doing. We are also managing hotel reservations and the hotel contract. As part of this, I have fields for check-in and check-out dates, plus a calculation of room nights (Out-In).

Hotel contracts are based on room nights. So, for example, I have people checking in on 7/15/18, 7/16, and 7/17, and [mostly] all checking out 7/18/18.

What I'm trying to end up with is a grid of some kind that indicates how many rooms are being occupied by night. So if someone checks in on 7/15 and out on 7/18, they will have 3 room nights, one for 7/15, 7/16 and 7/17. So something like the table below.

7/147/157/167/177/18
13742433

7/14/20187/15/20187/16/20187/17/20187/18/2018
13742433

By looking at this table, you can see that someone checked in on 7/14, 37 more on 7/15, 5 more on 7/16, and 1 more on 7/17. You can also tell that at least 3 people are staying past the 7/18 "group" checkout date.
