We are converting our old database to FileMaker.  We just purchased FileMaker Pro 16, FileMaker Pro Advanced 16, and Filemaker Server 16.

>  small company - max 5 users

1 user spends most of his time in outside sales and will access database vie FileMake Go on his iPad (when in-house, will use mini)

1 user (owner’s wife) will access database occasionally from home via FileMaker Web Direct from her MacBook Pro (when in-house, will use mini)

3 users will only access database on in-house Mac minis

>  fairly complex database - I estimate 15-20 Tables, including: customers, contacts, sales orders, sales invoices, receivables, vendors, inventory, purchase orders, payables, employees, payroll, accounts including financial statements, three checkbooks, etc

>  22+ years of data has already been imported into FileMaker from previous database (size of current database is about 400MB)

Server budget is $1,500 - $2,000

Options we are considering:

1)  Mac Mini / 3.0 GHz Intel Dual-Core i7 / 16GB 1600 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM / 512 GB SSD @ $1,599

2)  21.5” iMac / 3.0 GHz Intel Quad-Core i5 / 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 Ram / 512 GB SSD @ $1,899

3)  21.5” iMac / 3.6 GHz Intel Quad-Core i7 / 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 Ram / 512 GB SSD @ $2,199 (slightly over-budget)

Suggestions?

Thank you,

Mike
