I had it in my head that I was going to be using FileMaker Go as the vehicle for an offline version of my FileMaker App, but I am shifting towards using FileMaker Pro on a Windows 2 in 1 machine instead.
I have already had a good play around with Go, and written a script process to allow the iPad to scan a barcode and then populate certain fields with that information. It is very slick and easy to do.
Now that I am moving away from that, can anyone briefly explain how the barcode reader in the Toughbook CF-33 would be written into a script to do something similar to the "insert from device" script step that FileMaker Go has? The barcode reader is an optional addition to the CF-33, but it is a keyboard emulator. This video covers the CF-20 (which is pretty much the same as the CF-33 but smaller).
