I have one layout with a sliding panel which, unlike any of my other one, has a redraw issue. While the panel slides the current fields remain in stationary during the slide. Once the slide is completed everything fine.
Are you using a script to navigate the sliding panel? Quite often if you are following the change of panel with another "go to object" script step to a field (or indeed if you are switching panel by going to another object on another panel directly) this can often cause a redraw issue where the newly activated field is visible on-screen even during the slide transition.
A possible workaround is to introduce a script in your pause as long as the transition. this can however change depending on OS, and size of the panel (particularly if anchoring is enabled). Play around with the pause delay to see if this resolves the issue. Short of that I may need more information to help diagnose further.
Thanks... yes I use GO to Object to slide panels.
I moved to sliding panels over tab so I could HIDE access. I can hid the go to object button but you can't hide a tab. Or at least I don't know how to hid a tab.

I often use slide controls for this reason also. For what it's worth, i find that the cleanest transition on a desktop is swept gestures off and navigation dots off. With this setting the only way to move between panels is Go to Object, but the switch is instantaneous.
You are correct there is no way to hide a single tab within a tab-control object.
