I have been requested by our IT department to remove the Technology Test page from our server installation. I can not seem to find where or how that page is generated, nor do I see a way to disable it. Can anyone help?
You can see the URL in server start page, so remove the documents in the URL. Do you want to remove start page also?
this can be useful to test the FMS installation. Why would they wish to get rid of it ?
You should be able to find and edit the default pages at this path:
A third party vulnerability test showed that the internal IP is revealed in the source code on this page. to be clear this is the page that comes up when going to mydomain.com:16000/test. I do not see that page in the regular HTTPServer/conf path.
I don't fully understand IIS settings, but the contents of test URL are in
C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\Web Publishing\web-server-support\test\fmi-test
but do you use Windows for FMS16?
There is rewrite rule for 16000:/test, so it'd be able to disable it without affecting admin server (which use same port).
user19752 Good call. The default server page is at the location I posted.
