Self-Hosting FMP16

For a period of time, while testing, we want to host our own FMP16 database. Any advice or caution  about doing so?

We'd use a dedicated mac Mini, but in doing so do we need to run FMP16 continuously on that computer, open the proper ports (5003) and then be able to access it remotely with:

  • Another licensed copy of FMP16?
  • iOS devices (<5) RUNNING FilemakerGo Apps?

Ands are there any other dedicated Mac Mini setup recommendations?

Thank for all the help!
