I have a large contact database that correlates names with photos. Initially, I imported photos from a folder on a laptop running FMP16 into a "Photos" table. Since that time, I have moved the database to FMS to start sharing with outside clients.
Exploring tables in the database (that now resides on a mac mini based FMS instance, I find that the photo image filepaths still show the laptop. Several questions result:
- Where are these photo images (jpgs)? They are accessible to database clients even when the original laptop is turned off.
- Why does the file path still show the original laptop as a source?
- If I eliminated the photo folder on the original laptop, would it disrupt the FMS's ability to show photos with contact names?
- If I import a few more additional photos into the FMS Photos table, will it disrupt anything or can I be confident that data or linkages will stay intact?
Thanks, just learning to trust the FMP and FNS applications, but I don't want to risk rendering the system inoperative.
