Return Script Line Number at Run Time

We have many large solutions that have long running scripts or overnight processes. Usually the server will run one master script that is the controlling script and call many other scripts to perform tasks needed. Should the child script exit before completing the entire script we would put in some content in the exit script step to indicate where the script is exiting. The parent script would collect all the results and email to dev team with all details. Does any have a hack that would return the script line number that the exit script is currently on? This would help tremendously if we can get this to work as we can just insert that tid-bit of code with the script name. My thought is that line numbering is only view-able in the script workspace and not stored in the code itself.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.
