The process to un-host a file for archival purposes?

I have a hosted file that can be opened from FM server Launch Center simply by double-clicking it (it authenticates externally first. If I belong to a managed Windows user-group, I'm good, and the file opens with the assigned privilege set). It can also be opened using Shift+Enter, to get to the [Full Access] privilege set, knowing the FileMaker account credentials assigned to the file.

I want to unhost this file, remove it from FM server and store it away on a file-server for archival purposes. I'd like to be able to open it the same way once that it has been removed/downloaded from the server.
I already tried this once, but I get sharing warnings. Apparently, there is some process to prep the file for its life off the FM Server, so that it behaves as an Unshared, standalone file again, as it was before it was ever hosted in the first place.

Can anyone help to describe that process to me?

I'm using FileMaker Advanced 16
