A client reported to me that after downloading and installing FileMaker Pro Advanced 16 on a Windows 7 based machine, they were unable to create a DDR of any kind using any combination of settings (XML, HTML, Auto open on/off). As soon as they clicked "Create" in the DDR dialog, they received the error message:
"The file 'DDR' could not be found and is required to complete this operation."
Uninstalling and re-installing also did not solve the issue.
Upon inspection, if appears that the "DDR" folder normally found at:
C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 16 Advanced\Extensions\English\DDR
was missing, as it was for all the other languages. I zipped and sent her a copy of the DDR folder from my own installation and she was then able to created DDRs successfully. I surmise that there is some resource missing in the FMPA 16 demo installer that results in these DDR directories not being installed.
