I would like to create a layout that would allow me to use the FM built in security table for my users table.
To build something like this >
How can the above be done?
Have you looked at:
How did they do it then?
There are some script steps that can do things with user accounts.... More info here: FileMaker Pro 16 Help
You would need to build your own tables etc
Wow, very nice Beverly, Just what I am looking for!

You can script managing users but you cannot pull data out of the FM Security management.
If you only put it IN then you not need to take it out..
I rewrote Darrens Modular management thing to work with card windows, but also to use the 'machine in the middle' technique for a multi-file solution I wrote about here.

Been deployed for 5 months now and works like a dream
And with encrypted storage of the user password too. All the functionality to do that is hidden in another file which is only accessed through card window too...
jrenfrew That is good. Very similar to something I did for multi-tenant user management. Been working for a a few months with no issues. Still waiting on OAuth accounts via script to make it a complete management tool.
I also use scripted account creation, but if there is a reason to want to actually access the internal list of accounts, one could also imagine using the <AccountCatalog> portion of the DDR, perhaps in combination with a robot that automatically generates the DDR when needed using one of the options nicely describe here: Quickly Running DDRs - Geist Interactive.
I have implemented Daren Burgress's version in several systems including multi-file setups.
ModularFileMaker.org has a lot of very helpful modules. The key to using them, follow the instructions.
