I have disabled auto updates, so FMPA should not connect to anything ouside.
First it tries filemaker.com the ICloud and after that several other things.
How can I dissable that?
A firewall (software or hardware) could block outgoing traffic to those IPs/ports, but I suspect that is FM phoning home for licensing purposes, so YMMV (and those IPs may change, so it's an imperfect solution at best).
On macOS you could use parental controls to block specific URLs, and I'm sure something similar exists on Windows.
macOS Sierra: Set up limits for website access
IANAL though, so I'd suggest you read the FileMaker EULA before proceeding...
We wouldn’t want FM to be as useful and portable as Office 365 or Adobe products would we.
Get over it. This is likely for licensing reasons with FUL and checks for new versions of the software regardless of whether you turned them off or not.
It it would be interesting to hear why this is actually happening. TSGal
Thank you for your post.
The information from both nciske and bigtom is correct. Under the new licensing model, FileMaker Pro 17 Advanced will try to connect to filemaker.com for verification of the license.
FileMaker should not check for iCloud, unless one of your recent files was hosted on iCloud.
