Limit Access to Table Occurrences when JDBC Connected

Question asked by cmaitland@mindspring.com on May 18, 2018

Hello,

I am accessing a solution that is hosted on FileMaker Server 16 and ODBC/JDBC is enabled. I have the JDBC driver in the classpath on my client machine and I have created a FileMaker account with fmxdbc enabled. When I limit access to just 2 base tables in the privilege set for this account I can still see many table occurrences that I should not have access to.

Question: Does FileMaker have the capability to limit the table views visible when connected via a JDBC client?  It seems to limit the other base tables not explicitly designated, but the table occurrences are still visible in the list of tables in the client.  The client is RazorSQL.

Thanks for the help.
