How can I Script a button to stop an action?

So as of now, I have a button set up to take me to a certain record based on the number I entered; it is labeled 'From'. So for instance, I have mouse 25 that came from mouse 5. On mouse 25's record, I enter that it came 'From' mouse 5, and when i click the GO button, it will take me to mouse 5's record. Now some of these mice are originals. I understand I could just leave the 'From' field blank, but I would ideally like to be able to type in Original in the 'From' field, and make the GO button inactive (just so it keeps things consistent and easy to read for everyone in the lab). Right now, if I type in Original in the field it will just arbitrarily take me to the first record. So is there a script or something I can perform on the GO button to make it inactive for when the field says Original?
