Hi there FM 17 on Windows..
Cannot change a buttons state because the drop down is too long..
on a surface book so might be a hdpi issue?
That is a known issue on Windows that has been around a few version of FM and has not been fixed. It been blamed on the high DPI monitors such as the one the surface pro has, but I done have one of those monitors.
I've been able to scroll the choice with the scroll button on my mouse.
I have also taking FM out of full screen mode by creating a small Window, then go to view the options. After a few time, if you are lucky, it will correct itself. It will not be permanent.
Filemaker... ? Can you fix it please?
I believe this one has been blamed on particular "flavors" of windows 10--and thus a smaller number of developers are negatively affected.
In any case, whether anyone from FileMaker will see this thread is hit or miss as this is the general help section of the forum. I suggest that you go over to "report an issue", search out one of the many bug reports on this one and post a "me too" reply to what you find there as that section is monitored by FileMaker personnel.
I have the same problem on the Windows 10 computer, but found that if I click the letter a, if I want active, or S, for secondary, etc., I can pull up the desired option. Please give that a try. You may have to try more than once.
I confirm it’s been here for a while, even on standard resolution monitors like 1920 x 1080. You open an app, work for a while - everything is correct - and all of a sudden you have the issue. Cary on working and the issue goes away. I have not been able to find what triggers the issue. Since no knows the procedure to get the issue, it’s very hard to debug and find the cause.
