High Sierra 'Lock Screen' Grinds FM Server to a Halt

So yeah – if I lock the screen on the server, the next day when everyone comes to work they get rainbow cursors and very sluggish, inoperable FileMaker clients. All I have to do is unlock the screen and everything returns to normal, no restart required.

It's not just FMS, same happens to Parallels, basically the whole OS becomes unresponsive. Anyone else experienced this?
