I have three tables:
- Customers_Receipts (join table)
A customer can appear on different receipts, and a receipt can have more than one customer, hence the join table.
Whenever I add a customer, I want the popup menu to show customers that have not been added to the receipt that I am on.
Mark and Jess are already in this Receipt record #1, so I would like only Rick to show up as a possible option when I add a customer. Can I set up a relationship to do this where I can get a value list out of it? I have tried multiple table occurrences with no success.
Here's the rest of the contextual information.
I can see this being useful in a Projects-Assignments (join)-Employees example as well. A company could have hundreds of employees, and it would be useful to filter out which employees haven't been assigned in a single project when adding more people to the project.
