FMDataMigration - Windows Password Limitations

For full details fo this problem, please read my earlier post in the community: FileMaker Migration Tool - Encryption key not correct

The data migration tool is honouring the restrictions Microsoft puts on Active Directory naming conventions, therefore it appears any files using a secure password that commences with a non alpha-numeric character cannot be opened by the migration tool.

However, FileMaker allows these to be set within Windows and operates fine with these passwords.

Is it possible to amend the tool so that these secure passwords can be used to protect our data, as it does on a Mac? I can see no practical reason why the tool should be linked into an active directory rule?

Many thanks

Andy
