I just update the FMS 17 and have a problem.
I want to upload a file, but don't have access to put the name and password.
What can I do?
I update previous files with FMS 16
thanks for your help
Name and password should be to your FileMaker Admin Console. If you do not have that, then you are not allowed to move files to that FileMaker Server
I don't have access to the place to put the name and password, I know them, of course
I think your problem is that you do not get contact with your locally installed FileMaker Server. I have no problem putting files either on my locally installed FMS on my laptop or to a another computer where I have FileMaker Server installed.
First off, install the update to FMS17v2 and see if that makes any difference. Otherwise I suggest that you uninstall and install FMS again
it's the FMS17v2
Strange! I have never seen your problem before. Move to Report a Product Issue
Is there a custom SSL certificate apply to the server? Is the server running normally on the Admin console? I do not have 17 yet installed but i saw this behavior when the SSL certificate did not install properly in 16?
Did you update from FMS16 straight to FMS17v2?
If You have a local FM on the server machine: Does it work from that FileMaker?
We’ve had this under FMS 14...
no, I uninstall 16 and then install 17 and make the update today
Computer is closed today, I answer tomorrow for the rest
When you uninstalled 16, did you rename or remove the leftover "filemaker server" folder?
Not doing so has resulted in weird behaviour like you are seeing...
The other obvious thing are the ports necessary for uploading, 80 or 443, I forget.
I had this before, both fields were greyed out. If my memory serves well, you need to click on the server name in a list on the left.
