  • Hardware
    • Intel Core i5-6500 CPU @ 3.2Ghz, 4 cores
    • 16 gb RAM
  • Software
    • Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134)
    • FileMaker Pro Advanced 17.0.1.143
  • Summary
    • FileMaker becomes unresponsive after selecting a new script as the action on a button, closing the Select Script windows, without closing the Edit Script window
  • Steps to reproduce
    • Enter in layout mode on a layout
    • Create a new button
    • Choose Perform a script in the Action popup menu list
    • Click the New button to create a new script
    • Give the new script a name and click Ok
    • Select the Specify Script window and click Ok. Specify Script and Edit Script windows close.
  • Expected result
    • We expect to not be able to select the Specify Script Window without closing the Edit Script window
    • If we are able to select and close the Select Script window without closing the Edit Script window, we should be able to continue modifying the layout or go into Browse Mode or anything we are normally allowed to do in Layout Mode
  • Actual result
    • Specify Script and Edit Script windows close.
    • FileMaker becomes unresponsive. We have to kill the process and re-open FileMaker again to continue working as a result of work lost on layout if it wasn’t saved.
