Using FMS 17 ( Most recent Update and Previous versions ) on a Mac Mini running OS X 10.13.5 when the internal Firewall is turned on the display of Interactive Container field data ( PDF ) fails to display the PDF. As soon as the Firewall is turned off the PDF appears and works normally.
If the field is set to be an image it does display with the Firewall on.
Installing FMS 16 188.8.131.52 and turned on the OS X firewall. The database is available and the interactive container field PDFs display correctly.
On one of my clients systems running OS X 10.13.4 with the internal Firewall off and an external Firewall with all of the standard FMS server Ports open. ( Single Server set up ) The interactive Container fields with PDFs do NOT display.
This is a serious issue. This database is slated to go live and these fields have to display. Our current plan is uninstall FMS 17 and install FMS 16. This is a long term client with licenses going back to version 9.
Please look into this.
