I sometimes get "Database is currently in use and could not be opened"

I have my solution (one database file) on a FMS 16 in local network. The imac hosting it doesn't do anything else.

The solution mostly works, but randomly asks to login and then throws "Database is currently in use and could not be opened". (Working from another machine with FMpro 16, open remote).

When I close the file and reopen it usually starts to work. If not I close / open the database on the server and it works again.

I'm looking for things to verify.

- the macos filesharing on the server is off

- there is no timemachine running

- it happens even when I'm the only one connected
