I Have a table Called Materials and I have the following Fields
Material Expiry Date
I want to put them into my Dashboard. How can I do that?
In Dashboard table, I would create two new fields:
Create a new TO (table Occurrence) of Materials and named it Materials_Retest_this week
where Week_Current_Begin_Date ≤ Retest Date AND Week_Current_End_Date ≥ Week_Current_End_Date
That new relationship will give you all Materials to be Retested for the current week (you could do the current month)
Now add a portal on your Dashboard layout
I forgot to mention both calculations need to be Unstored
Thanks for the reply. I have attached a sample of the file that I'm working for your reference.
A better understanding of your data my improve our ability to assist.
A “dashboard” is usually a way to view aggregate data (sum, max, min, average, etc.) or most recent data from data in one or more related tables. A simple portal to materials might be all that you need or you might need something more sophisticated.
I don't see your file?
It took a while to appear.
Sorry, file is now attached.
Here is your file where I added a Current Month Calculation in dashboard and redid the relationships accordingly.
And added portals. All you have left is to change the Retest calculation
I did not touch the Warning calculation because it involves talking about it.
In left portal, we see that the Expiry Date is Null but the Material has been Retested.
The proper way would be to keep the date when the Material Expired but modify the relationship by adding a test where Material Retest = Empty which can be done by having a Null Number field on the Dashboard side.
Sorry, for the confusion. What I want is the materials that was retested and Expired from the last Month not from this month.
That is what I gave you, check the operator of the Relationship:
So I don't understand your comment?!?
Sorry, Im confused, because if I will put a date to my retest also appeared to my expired.
So if I understand you meant to tell me that you wanted to define a relationship where expired material appear if a retest date has not been entered. Is that correct?
