How do I use a button bar segment name as a search parameter?

I want to use a button bar to create a foundset based on the name of the button segment that is clicked. When I click the "A" segment in fig. 1, I want it to perform the "Box Names" script to display a foundset of all records where the "Box" popup field is A. I'm using Get (ActiveLayoutObjectName) to set a variable in the script (fig. 2, final script steps are grayed out), but it doesn't return the object name of the segment in the Troubleshooting dialog (fig. 3).  I also tried setting a script parameter. Nothing I tried works.

Am I using the wrong function? I have a feeling it's something simple but I'm stumped.
