Something very weird is happening. When I try to print or preview my report, the data changes!??
Is my file corrupted or it it something else?
Can somebody help me? Thank you
Make the field global if it's a number field that should be the same no matter which record is the current record nor which page of a multi-page report is showing.
There are other options using relationships, portal filters etc, but I don't know enough about your setup to provide details nor determine if a different approach is a good idea.
You might not be looking at the same record.
In Preview mode, all the records in your current found set are previewed, not just the current record. So this can be one possible factor.
Also, fields in a header, if that's what you have here, display data differently in preview/print than in Browse mode.
In Browse mode, a field in the header will show data from the current record--that can be any record in your found set.
In preview/print, the same field in a header shows data from the first record on the page. The same is true for a field in the footer, but then it's the last record on the page.
Thanks for the quick response philmodjunk.
Yes, my number field is in a header. So any suggestions how to solve my issue?
This figure actually comes from a summary field from another table that I was manually entering in the report pictured above, because I couldn't figure out how to automatically get this figure into my report, So I thought my creating a simple number field, I could just manually enter it.
