I continue to plow through my clients build, they have launched and love what they have :-), now the problem

I am auto formatting phone numbers ex. enter 1234567890 returns 123-456-7890

and SSN 987654321 returns 987-65-4321 using these formulas:

Let ( Social Security Number = Filter ( Self ; 9876543210 ) ;

        Left ( A1_Social Security Number ; 3 )

         & "-"

         & Middle ( A1_Social Security Number ; 4 ; 2 )

         & "-"

         & Right ( A1_Social Security Number ; 4 )     )

Let (A1_Phone_Cell= Filter ( Self ; 1234567890 ) ;

        Left ( A1_Phone_Cell ; 3 )

        & "-"

        & Middle ( A1_Phone_Cell ; 4 ; 3 )

        & "-"

        & Right ( A1_Phone_Cell ; 4 )     )

Both formulas work fine. my client is required to retain data history so when one of their clients changes an address they need to retain the original record and the new record. I am doing this by simply duplicating the original record.

When the record gets duplicated the phone number stays intact, the social security number drops a number and adds a -

Both fields are set as text and Do not replace existing value of field is not checked.

Any thoughts?
