I successfully installed an SSL cert on our Filemaker server. GoDaddy SAN certificate, everything is working on both the FM server and an Apache web server.
However Filemaker's canonical instructions for FMS 17 (https://support.filemaker.com/s/answerview?anum=000026004&language=en_US) specify creating the private key and CSR using fmsadmin certificate create, which REQUIRES a passphrase. The passphrase presents a problem for one of the other hosts I want covered by this SAN certificate.
Is there any reason I couldn't just rekey the certificate using a private key and CSR generated, say, using openssl on any old *nix server? How picky is Filemaker about the formatting of the certificate?
