So, I'm very unfamiliar with filemaker, so I'm requesting a high level explanation of how I can help out someone I know.
He uses filemaker for his firm to keep track of purchase orders and presumably other stuff. He wants me to do some data analytics for him, which I'm happy to do. The problem is, he doesn't know how he can give me access to the filemaker database. I mean, ideally what I'd want is to convert the relevant parts of the database into a SQL database (because i've worked with SQL in the past) and then have him send the SQL database file to me electronically, maybe over email or something. Is this possible to do? Can I even get access to his filemaker database directly from my home computer? I can't physically go to his location right now.
Thanks, I appreciate any help you guys can give.
