How to Hide a Password Contained in a Script?

If I perform a command line function as part of a PSoS step, this requires the inclusion of the server admin username and password. I realise that it is possible to restrict access to execution only for all but new scripts for other semi-admin users with clearance to create scripts, but is there a better way of hiding this very sensitive information? I know one can define a custom function containing the password and username and call that within the script, but that is less secure since I do not think access to custom functions can be defined by the security settings.
