I am having a trouble trying to figure out how to write the correct formula for Total_Days_Phase_X.
Total days by phase
Total_Days_Phase 1 = 4
Total_Days_Phase 2 = 3
Total_Days_Phase 3 = 4
+ Sort by Phase
+ Subsummary part when sorted by phase
+ field type summary (sum of)
+ self join over field phase
+ calc field = sum ( selfjoin_relationship::days )
Better done from (new?) table 'phase', where each phase has exactly one record.
I am sure you have the correct answer. I searched a few of the concepts you referenced, but I am still having some trouble following your answer. Could rewrite it assuming I am a new user?
Define a field of type summary defined to compute the total of days.
While in layout mode, use part set up to add a summary layout part “when sorted by” phase.
Put your summary field inside the sub summary part
Remove the body layout part
enter browse mode and sort your records by phase. (Use list view)
