We are using FileMaker Server 17. We trying to generate the sign in request(CSR) for SSL certificate but we can't.
Please help me on this.

A create a certificate signing request (CSR) is a hash file containing information about your domain, including the domain name, company, etc. When purchasing a SSL certificate, the CSR tells the Certificate Authority what domain to issue the certificate for. For more information on the "fmsadmin certificate" command, run "fmsadmin help certificate".

I also posted a tutorial on bypassing FMS 17 completely to generate the CSR. This is the technique I used. However, it may too involved for some.

I would also say that using any other CSR generator is easier than using the one included with FMS17.
There are plenty of online tools for this an I personally use the WHM/cPanel tool for all CSRs as it is quick and easy for me.
The major benefit of the FMS command line is that the files end up right where you need them in the cstore folder. Hopefully FMS will bring back the CSR GUI in a future version.
